The Festival of Fanals Xinesos full the Fòrum of light and colour

Barcelona. (Editorial).- Coinciding with the home of the period of Navidad, the Park Fòrum of Barcelona will receive from the next 18 December the Festival of Fanals Xinesos, a traditional sample of giant figures of silk, lit inside like a farolillo, that represent symbols and typical motives of the culture milenaria Chinese. It treats of a spectacular itinerary, of alive colours, that visits at night (of Tuesday to Sunday) and to the that can assist tourists and local citizens of all the ages.

The farola of the Festival are big metallic structures and of light bulbs LED of saving of energy, covers with natural Chinese silk multicolor in the outside. The route includes more than 500 farola exposed in a total surface of 9.000 square metres. They measure among 1 and 6 metres of tall, between 1 and 25 metres of long, and weigh among 5 kilo and 1 tonne.

All the figures have an original design and are handmade by a veintena of Chinese artists with the technician of the silk. The silk, that is special for farola (insulating of the fire),knits , short, sticks to the structure and paints . These days and to date of inauguration, the artists give form to the farola and ultiman the details artesanales of all the figures.

The route of the Festival divides in seven big thematic areas: the Traditional Chinese City; the Zone of the Tea; the Big Wall; the Garden of Chinese Water; the Four Seasons; the Park of Pandas and the Chinese Zodiac. Besides, the sample surrenders homage to the local art with a space devoted to Antoni Gaudí, Joan Looked and Pablo Picasso, through a treintena of farola that reinterpretan some of the most popular works and known of the three artists and his currents.
